NORSE Fall Headwear

A couple weeks back we showed off some of the looks from Norse Projects for this fall.  Here’s a look at the headwear that will accompany the garment collection.

The Bodega “Day Tripper” A-Frame Backpack is a collaborative effort between Bodega and Gravis Japan in celebration of our five-year anniversary, which was on May 13, 2011.  We are celebrating all year long with special projects dropping each month until May of 2012.  Gravis has been with us from our humble beginnings, so it was only fitting we work with them for this special occasion.

The “Day Tripper” is a classic backpack that came out of the Gravis archives.  It is based off the Gravis A-Frame bag that references details from vintage hiking backpacks.  The bag is constructed of heavy Melton wool that is treated for light weather conditions.  Rugged over-sized brass zippers give contrast between the navy blue wool and  peanut butter-colored corduroy bottom.  Reinforced adjustable straps make for easy transportation of any load.  The interior is comprised of two large compartments with plenty of pockets and easy access, as well as a conveniently padded laptop sleeve.  Each bag is individually numbered to 150 — making this a truly limited release.  The “Day Tripper” will be made available Saturday September 3rd at both Bodega’s retail location and online at, as well as select Gravis retailers in Japan.  Retail price will be $165.

Core77 on Human Powered Works

This past Friday was opening night for Human Powered Works over at Fourthwall. Design resource, Core77, was present documenting the event and following up with a nicely done write-up, “Fouthwall x Silver Oris: Human Powered Works.”  You still have plenty of time to check this group show out as it will be on display at the gallery through August 28th. Photography of Matthew Zaremba

Boston raised, Brooklyn resident Matthew Zaremba is one of our favorite photographers.   Constant updates on his portfolio site convince us that he sees more/better than the rest of us. It is beautiful then gone.

Earlier this week we caught wind of Luke Wright’s shots of our Oxford Lined Anorak via Twitter. Luke is a student at the University of Brighton and copped this piece from our Brighton, UK account holder Below Store.  Have to give credit where credit is due, the shots came out great so big ups to him! Check out the all of these shots and more of Luke Wright’s work on his blog:

Sorry For The Wait

A Lil’ while back, Marissa Flores (stylist for Lil Wayne) came by and picked up a bunch of Bedwin pieces.

On Lil’ Wayne’s recent stop in Scranton, Pennsylvania he was spotted rocking “The Kids Tee” that I did with help from Ed Cabrera. If you like what you see check out the stock in our web shop here.
